We admire China, every day and in every walk of life,                                                                            Populace nation of the world, no need for a research,                                                                              Giant leap in electronics and in science, to say in brief                                                                            Had made envious inroads in its ascendant march.

Now, the nation is infamous for a different season,                                                                                  Whole world is in all worry and in serious concern,                                                                                Wuhan city, now the cynosure for a wrong reason,                                                                                Epicenter of this pandemonium and in quarantine. 

All started with a startling bout of fever in spread,                                                                                  In no time, due to lack of a knowhow or oversight,                                                                                Thousands or more fell ill, in no time dropping dead,                                                                              Pandemic disaster in sight, the whole world in fright. 

Fever a mild one with a sneeze, Oh!, its a tricky route,                                                                      Within a week, tracking to the lungs for a fatal exit                                                                            Indeed an affinity for respiratory passages for sure,                                                                            Caught unawares, succumbing soon without a fight. 

Searches everywhere as the virus is in demonic speed,                                                                        Many nations falling prey, pressing the panic button,                                                                    Spreading by droplet infection from a sneeze or touch,                                                                    Spreads via meetings with a handshaking felicitation. 

Rich or poor, a doctor or a premier all in its web,                                                                                More and more nations falling in its trap, ours too,                                                                            Great threat is from travels, social meets everywhere,                                                                            The nations, none in exception all in coroner’s fear.           

More and more curbs on view, all schools in shut mode,                                                                    Techies all in work from home mode, malls in shutters,                                                                      Social distancing on the rise, self isolation,the new code                                                                    Flights with empty seats, trains and roads all deserted. 

Cities wear a masked silence, elsewhere its stony silence.                                                                  Future uncertain, no greets or giving customary shakes,                                                                    Leaders ever in shaking hands in greet, now no more,                                                                    Namaste! Our old fashioned greet on view and a bliss,                     

Born to die once, fear gripping us like a   onitor lizard,                                                                          Like a Damocles’ sword, Corona is twining the offer.                                                                        Virus will die down soon, may cease to be a hazard,                                                                        Corona will teach us better healthy habits forever, .
