THE LADDER OF LIFE
Every human being born here has many ambitions,
Under the sky they
all differ, indeed are manifold,
Most are short lived, oft vanishing into the thin air,
Vary differently, it changes without reason or faith.
Medicos, indeed are a sect with a different mindset,
Profession, chosen more by compulsion than passion,
Five years of hard work and a cerebral force in work,
Degree won, a hard fought battle with a satisfaction
Troubles, they all felt, are over, once for all by grace,
Real worries
surface now, they are indeed oblivious ,
Racing for more degrees, truly a cat and mouse chase.
They all try hard, few oft end up with more alphabets.
Most aren’t that lucky, the real struggle is here to
stay,
Run pell-mell to buy a seat, a costly chase begins here,
Settling for a stable life, this truth often comes late,
May be forced to rethink? Is this the only profession?
Million dollar query, this weird dream can’t last forever,
To lead a normal life, education is the need of the hour,
By force or wish, one can’t excel in any, sans hard work,
Ladder of life is counted by hard work, not by a number.
