FREEDOM AT
MIDNIGHT…
ARE WE REALLY FREE?
At midnight’s
call, our own flag did arise,
The seventy-ninth now lights our skies.
Through storm and chain, through loss and pain,
Our Mother stood, to live again and again
Her childhood
scarred, yet bold her stand,
With trials faced across the land.
In crowded streets, with hunger’s cry,
She learned to dream, she learned to try.
Through space
we soared, through sport we shone,
Aryabhata to Chandrayan, we claimed its our own.
From cricket fields all over to chessboard fame,
World, time and again, cheered our nation’s name.
But freedom
calls for hearts that serve,
For leaders true, with steadfast nerve.
No greed, no pelf, no selfish claim,
One people strong, with one proud name.
The road is
long, yet we must strive,
To keep our culture deep, alive.
Through unity in trials faced,
Our future bright, our dreams embraced.
