UNLAWFUL THEFT….A   LAWFUL GIFT SOMETIMES….  

Thefts everywhere  not an unknown feature, in fact is more in some place,

 Reasons may be trivial, quality and quantity and may be here out of place,

 Causes may be a lack of proper upbringing, poverty or mental aberration,

None wants to be renamed as thief, nor it’s a inborn talent or a recreation.

 

In spite  of all  this, some relish to thrive on continuing this mischief forever,

Careless attitude, failure to stash  cash  safely or keep all under safe cover,

Serves their job to nicety ,thus  escaping from not reporting to cops either, 

Gold or currency, white or black, makes  the thieves getting more power.

 

But here is different, a case before  the Judiciary for punishment for theft,

A teen aged boy was caught red handed for stealing from a supermarket, 

The shop owner caught the boy with cheese and bread, cops doing the rest

 None bothered to query the boy, the reason for the theft, but the Judge did.

 

 

The boy, was in shaking with tremors in lips, uncovered his version in tears,

Broke and penniless was he, losing his job too ,for availing a leave in years,

Mechanic threw him out, he was  trying to buy food for his  ailing mother,

His father died when he was in his early years, hence none to work either.

 

Mother fell sick, he is  now broke and penniless, pleading  for help and alms,

None helping his cause either, he was forced to shoplift breads and jams,

Hearing this, the Judge was in tears and verified the truth of his statement,

Proclaimed his judgement, at once by donating dollars from his own pocket.

 

Didn’t stop from there, penalized  all the police for the careless case diary,

The shop owner was penalized  for a hefty sum, adding insult to the injury,

 Delivered a message before the court, that the Society  is the culprit here,

 Boy was in tears, so too the entire court , Judge relieved his discomfiture
