OCTOBER 10..MENTAL HEALTH DAY

A slogan oft springs up to commemorate this day of every year,

World health’s governing body unfailingly does it every year,  

Have such  days in celebration in turn, for our physical health, 

Ignoring  the vital cog in its wheels, all of the mental health.,

This day of October is  to hail our mental health , the world over.

The slogan ‘’invest in mental health’’ a soft reminder in cover,

Oft neglected branch, least respected once. now in the limelight,

 Reason, our own misdoings, a fast moving world with short sight .

Every move at break neck speed, every parent aim high end course, 

Never sparing a thought for the hapless ward to express his desire,

 Graduating the young into a doctor may sound a thrill everywhere,

 It doesn’t stop there ,a dedication never the overt agenda there.

Ends up with a suitable pair from fair sex, there ends all the desire 

 Here ends all professional dreams, sets the professional quagmire ,

 Professional miss matching, egos, fame doing more of  the screen, 

 Not an isolated one,its rampant everywhere, marriages in disaster.

A page from the past, men did the  earning, lady managed the store

Females now have freedom, earn ,family embellished to the core,

Slowly problem lift its ugly phase, the harmony fails to heal the sore,  

Everywhere the same, professions  may differ, disharmony to the fore..

Big family, many  siblings, upbringing, the crunch issue last century,

 Narrowed minds, a broad outlook now, more  a lack of  penury 

 Nuclear family, now a self centered one with obsessive neurosis, 

  Unable to withstand the reality, ends up with disasters and divorces, 

      

Where do we go from now , are at crossroads, secluded and isolated,

A sense of fear gripping every human mind, Corona so widespread,     

This is the time we must regroup ourselves, fighting all devilish spread,

 We only live once, invest all in our mental health, rest will get settled
